The couple age calculator takes two dates of birth and works out the things people are curious about as a pair: your combined age, the exact age difference between you, who is older, and a set of shared milestones you can count down to. Add an optional relationship start date and it also shows how many days you have been together.

What it shows

• Combined days and years lived — the total age of both partners added together.
• Exact age gap — the difference between your birth dates in years, months and days.
• Days together — counted from your relationship start date, if you enter one.
• Combined milestones — the date your combined age reaches the next round number, and the date you will have lived a round number of days between you (such as 30,000).
• Whose birthday is next — and the gap in days between your two birthdays.
• Age-ratio moments — the exact dates one of you is, or was, double (or 1.5 times) the other's age.

About the "double the age" idea

A popular question is when one partner is exactly twice the other's age. Here is the honest answer: because your age gap never changes, the ratio between your ages is only ever a clean "double" for a single day, and it happens only once. If you are ten years apart, one of you was double the other only when you were 10 and 20 — after that the ratio shrinks forever toward equal. The calculator shows the exact date each clean ratio (2x, 1.5x and so on) is reached, clearly marked as the one day it is true, rather than pretending it is an upcoming recurring event.

How the milestones are worked out

Combined age grows by two years for every calendar year — one for each of you — so combined-age milestones arrive about twice as fast as personal ones. Combined day-counts climb by two days a day for the same reason. Everything is computed on the real calendar, so leap years and differing month lengths are handled automatically.
